This escorted tour will feature visits to unique experimentation facilities such as a human centrifuge, hypobaric and dive chambers, thermal chamber, aerospace group, and the CANadian Load Effects Assessment Program (CAN LEAP) mobility course and more. The deadline to register for the tour is Thursday, March 13, 2025 to ensure the security team has sufficient processing time.
Further arrival instructions will be provided closer to the tour date.
Since this is a secure facility, participants of this tour agree to the following requirements:
- Visitors will be escorted at all times by CFEME/DRDC staff members; visitors will not be left alone. Proper handover will occur at pick-up/drop-off points.
- There will be no access to any Security Zones or areas where sensitive work is being conducted and there will be no exposure to protected/classified information or controlled goods.
- All visitors will sign in at the Cmre GH and will be issued escorted visitor badges for ease of identification.
- No backpacks will be permitted unless searched in advance.
- A list of all names will be provided to the RDSO, and if necessary the local Military Police Unit (MPU) and the nearest detachment of the Canadian Forces National Counter-Intelligence Unit (CFNCIU).
- No electronic devices will be permitted while on DRDC premises, to include smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, audio or video recording devices and cameras.
